About Bureau

Attention to audit in Palestine started with the advent of Palestine National Authority together with establishment of different institutions and entities. The presidential decree 22/1994 instated the General Audit Institution, followed by the decree law 17/1995 on the General Audit Institution. GCI commenced action in Gaza and Ramallah, human resources were recruited and it kept operating until the State Audit and Administrative Control Bureau law 15/2004, based on the Palestinian Basic Law of 2003, was enacted.

    • AG Meets ENRA chair


    AG Meets ENRA chair Auditor General Mrs. Amal Faraj met the chair of Energy & Natural Resources Authority Mr. Ayman Ismael and delegation in her Ramallah office on Tuesday 18.11.2025, in order to discuss audits and reports made by SAACB, with positive influence they have. A number of common matters and enhancing the cooperation between the two parties were discussed, besides the supervisory role that ENRA is assuming over electricity transmission and distribution companies, promotion of renewable energy and the projects that ENRA is supervising and SAACB is auditing, alongside electricity companies and relevant projects. Infrastructure audit manager Mr. Majdi Maitani and economy audit manager Mr. Ayman el-Hroub were present at the meeting. From ENRA, there were the financial affairs undersecretary Mrs. Reem karazoun and projects unit head engineer Abdul Hadi Barakat.
